ABOUT THIS 4 SESSION SERIES:
The result of trauma and chronic anxiety can show up in our bodies through restricted and protective muscle patterns. This often happens in our shoulders and heart space as we curl inward as a means of providing safety, making ourselves smaller, or possibly due to feeling defeated and hopeless.
With mindful movement and calming breath work, we’ll explore our shoulders and the areas that surround them such as the jaw, neck, chest, and upper back.

    It really helped when you mentioned that if you notice an emotion, you don't have to do anything about them. instead of trying to force something, I could soften, and notice my body gently opening up a bit more again. Thank you very much.

    hi Hannah! thank you so much for these sessions. I feel so great. Are there specific practices fro abs/stomach area? Ever since I had a very traumatic birth that ended in an emergency c-section I was never able to go back to abs training etc specifically because it still feels like one big wound still. I'd really be grateful for your advice <3

    I did the class, after i did another one with you and really liked it while beeing a littel sick. That was perfect. In this one there happend a littel to less for me in almoast half an hour. There is a part in me that gets a bit nerveous if getting too much options and phrases for one movement. But i do get and feel the difference of impact by the words you choose instead of just saying " now you do this" Thank you <3

    I have C-PTSD and retriggered PTSD from being physically assaulted and abused a month and 18 days ago, on Wednesday, November 6th, 2024 @ 2:43 P.M. Is this series for survivors of male violence??? It is only named as sexual abuse, so let me know because I want to make sure I will get something out of it that is meant for where my body is at.

    I've had ongoing trauma for the last 5 months, living with my spouse's addiction. I have needed so much to get back in touch with myself, with my body and breath. I have always been skeptical of comments claiming these huge emotional releases. 3 days of yoga and breathing with your videos and my tears have been thawing. It is bittersweet but I know my body needs the release. Thank you for these beautiful and compassionate videos. The wisdom to know that some of us have not had nonjudgmental acceptance in our past and must hope for it in the future helped me feel very seen in a vulnerable moment where otherwise I may have just felt self pity.

    This was such an amazing introduction to your channel. I was aware of so much gratitude for just paying attention to my body, even with the tightness and discomfort. I can't wait to do one of your 4-part series this week. It is a real challenge to find true trauma informed yoga here in a sea of shockingly over-sexualized yoga videos - even among the more established channels that I remember as being safe. The emotional pain of that experience as someone healing from sexual abuse is hard to explain. Thank you for making your channel a protective oasis for us. We deserve to have a healthy sexuality and we also have worth beyond our sexuality. <3

    I never realised until following your video how bruising everyday language can be because it is so demanding . Your use of optional phrasing like "you could do this" or "you may want to do this", "if it feels, then you might..." was so astoundingly different language to me that it feels like one of the only times in life I've experience a firm sense of control and agency over my own body and emotions. Also your comment "you might notice sensations, but you don't have to do anything about them; You don't have to fix anything, just notice what comes up", was awesome!! The whole experience listening to your voice and following your practice was very freeing and very healing. Thankyou for your amazing practice 😊
